Samut Sakhon, Thailand — October 2, 2025 — First Rubber, a global supplier of precision elastomer components, today announced the successful commissioning of rooftop solar power systems across two of its manufacturing facilities. The investment strengthens the company’s ESG roadmap and reduces Scope 2 emissions while improving long-term energy resilience.
Under the multi-year program, First Rubber has installed high-efficiency photovoltaic (PV) arrays on production and warehouse rooftops at two plants, with surplus capacity designed to scale as demand grows. The systems will directly power energy-intensive processes such as rubber compounding, molding, curing, and climate control in dust-managed rooms, cutting grid consumption during daytime peaks and lowering the company’s carbon footprint.
“Customers want partners who deliver quality and reliability with a lighter footprint,” said Frank Lin, Sales Representative at First Rubber. “Solar is a practical step that decarbonizes our operations, stabilizes power costs, and brings immediate environmental benefits our automotive, electronics, and industrial customers can count on.”
The initiative also supports supplier sustainability requests from global OEMs and brands, aligning First Rubber’s operations with increasingly rigorous decarbonization targets across the value chain. Beyond emissions reduction, the PV systems are expected to reduce exposure to electricity price volatility, with real-time monitoring feeding into First Rubber’s operational dashboards for continuous improvement and reporting.
At a Glance (figures to finalize with metered data)
